U13 Netball v St Mary's Hall (pictured above)
On Monday 6 March, the U13 netball squads travelled to St Mary’s Hall for two very competitive netball matches. Both teams played extremely well in all areas of the court converting most of their centre pass possession. Munro and Ely linked well together in the A team game creating many chances in the circle. In the B team match Hancock and Tinsley were effective moving down the court with Tinsley slotting away numerous chances.
Stanley Cook Trophy
On Tuesday 7 March, the KGS swim squad travelled to QEGS Blackburn for the annual Stanley Cook Trophy event. Swimmers from the First Year to the Upper Sixth competed with some excellent performances all round.
It was close at the top when the results were announced with KGS finishing in a solid 3rd place.

Kirkham Grammar Junior and Infant School Sport
J4 Football v The Buchan School
Kirkham Grammar Junior's J4 boys took part in a football fixture against Buchan School, who were on tour from the Isle of Man. Buchan won the game, but it was great to give all of the J4 boys an opportunity to play in a friendly football fixture.
U9s Hockey v St Mary's Hall
On Saturday 4 March, Kirkham Grammar Junior School hosted St Mary’s Hall. It was a fantastic morning of hockey seeing two U9 mixed teams in action. The teams worked well together linking passes in some end-to-end games, demonstrating their determination and passion for the game.
U10 Girls Hockey Festival at St Mary's Hall
On Tuesday 7 March, our U10 girls took part in a hockey festival at St Mary’s Hall. The event gave the girls the opportunity to gain plenty of pitch time and learn set pieces, short corners and long corners whilst also allowing the girls to experience high energy games.
U11 Boys Lancashire Hockey Tournament
On Wednesday 08 March, our U11 boys travelled to AKS to compete in The Lancashire Boys Hockey Tournament. The team worked hard and did incredibly well against some tough oppositions, showing their determination and teamwork in challenging conditions.
