At KGS we believe that our pupils’ academic progress is enhanced by involvement in an array of co-curricular activities.

In fact strong participation in co-curricular activities has been statistically proven to result in better academic performance as a consequence of acquiring many key skills and providing self confidence.

We provide a wide array of such activities in our programme, described by the ISI Inspectorate as "Excellent". In the junior years we encourage youngsters to participate as widely as possible while pupils may specialise later in their school career.  For clear safety reasons some activities are not available until pupils are older. We report on participation in these activities in our school reports and there is no question that they add strength to personal statements and CV's later in life. Most of all they contribute to Kirkham Grammar School being a busy and happy school.

We have included below examples of the variety of opportunity available.

Art & Design Work Exhibited throughout the school. Field trips for the Third Year, GCSE and A Level.
