Image of Lower 6th Geography students visit AFC Fylde

KGS Lower 6th Geography students enjoyed a tour of Mill Farm, Wesham with the Commercial Director, Dean Kent. This was as part of their Geography A Level topic called ‘Changing Places’. A major element that they are required to study is ‘a local place’, which for them is Kirkham and Wesham, and how it is changing. The students have already had a talk by Adrian Long about the proposed new housing estate in Dowbridge and the impact this will have on the local community. The aim of today’s visit was to make them think about the positives and negatives of the new AFC Fylde Stadium and the impact on the character of the town. The students were shown inside the executive boxes and made themselves comfortable on a very large leather sofa in the Director’s box!
