NSPCC NUMBER DAY 2024

On Friday, Kirkham Grammar School supported the NSPCC by taking part in a whole school Number Day.

Kirkham Grammar School Junior, Infant and Pre-School pupils arrived at school wearing an item of clothing with a number/numbers on. The Junior, Infant and Pre-School hall and corridors were decorated with numbers and the school assembly celebrated how fantastic everyone looked. The pupils learnt about the importance of spreading kindness to those less fortunate and also raised awareness of the work of the NSPCC. The pupils took part in a range of number related activities throughout the day such as counting games, 'NSPCC Times Table Rock Stars' battles and Roman Numerals. Our Pre-School children enjoyed 'counting' nursery rhymes.

Senior School and Sixth Form pupils took part in a ‘number hunt’ in which members of staff wore number badges for the pupils to find throughout the day.

A wonderful day was had by all for a brilliant charity.

All the money raised, via the JustGiving link below, will make an enormous difference to children today, and help the NSPCC be there for children tomorrow. The NSPCC need our support more than ever. By raising money, we can help to fund their vital services such as Childline – the helpline that is always there for children and young people whatever their problem or concern. On average, a child contacts Childline every 25 seconds.
