This morning, Kirkham Grammar School GCSE and A Level Religious Studies pupils watched a live webcast interview with Natasha Kaplinsky OBE, and survivor, Hedi Argent MBE, hosted by the Holocaust Educational Trust. With the number of survivors becoming fewer and frailer, it was a wonderful privilege for our pupils to be part of this very special live event to mark Holocaust Memorial Day this Saturday 27 January 2024. Following the interview, the pupils were given the opportunity to ask questions via a live feed. To read more about Hedi's life experiences, please visit: https://www.holocaust.org.uk/hedi-argent

In addition to the above, during form time this week, KGS First and Second Year pupils are taking part in an initiative from the Literacy Trust listening to the author, Tom Palmer, read extracts from his new book about survivor, Mala Tribich. Next week, they will be following this up by watching a recording of an interview with Tom and Mala in their Library English lessons.
