Last weekend, Kirkham Grammar School Fifth Year pupil, Yandy, competed in the 2021 Scottish Junior Indoor Doubles Championships at Scotstown Leisure Centre, Glasgow.
After being allocated a bye in the first round, Yandy and her tennis partner, Maldini, went on to win their second round match 6-2, 2-6, 10-3 (tie break), taking them through to the final.
After losing the first set 3-6, the pair made a great comeback to win the second set 6-3 and take the match to yet another tie break. Winning the tie break 10-7 saw Yandy and Maldini crowned the U18 champions.
