On Friday 10th May, Kirkham Grammar Junior School held their annual Inter House Swimming Gala which was first held in 1990. Over 140 pupils took part. The four Houses involved (Birley, Clifton, Colborne and Drapers) have all won the coveted trophy in the past but there was no clear favourite this year!
The gala had 52 races in total and all of them produced fantastic finishes. The final race of the day was the highlight with all boys and girls from our u11s each representing their House in the House Cannon Relay which involved 50 swimmers!
After over 2 hours of fantastic individual races and team relays the final totals were as follows:
1st Colborne
2nd Clifton
3rd Drapers
4th Birley
