Image of KGS' cricket, music and gymnastic stars!

Four of our Kirkham Grammar School cricket stars; Omar, Oliver, Stan and Theo (pictured above), were recently selected by Lancashire Cricket County to play for the Inter League – Best of Selection. This also included an invitation for all to two indoor sessions at Emirates Old Trafford for continued opportunities.

J3 pupil, Clara (pictured right), was selected to represent her club internationally in Malta during the summer break. Clara had an amazing experience, competing against many other nationalities, and achieved the following; gold medals on bar and beam, and silver medals on floor and vault.

Fourth Year pupil, Jasmine (pictured left), spent the summer representing Kirkham Grammar School Music at national level. Jasmine completed a week's residential course with the National Children’s Brass Band of Great Britain, culminating in a concert at The Halls, Norwich, with guest soloist, Simone Rebello. She then moved onto The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain summer course, where she is the youngest trombone player by three years. The end of course concert was at Saffron Walden conducted by internationally renowned, Sarah Ioannides, and the soloist was Canadian trombonist, Scott Hartman. A week later, Jasmine was playing in Trafalgar Square in St Martins in the Fields, a smaller selected ensemble from The National Youth Brass Band called The Ambassadors Band. Finally and more recently, Jasmine played with The National Children’s Band of Great Britain at Birmingham Symphony Hall.

Well done to you all!
