KGS - 15 for 1

KGS won by 9 wickets

Kirkham got back to their winning ways, after a break for exams, with a comprehensive victory against QEGS, Blackburn. After winning the toss, QEGS were invited to bat on a tricky wicket. A superb two over spell from Charlie Bray blew away the opposition with a lethal combination of pace and accuracy leading to stunning figures of 4 for 0.  He was ably supported by Christian Taylor-Tomlinson who took three wickets of his own. QEGS couldn't recover and were bowled out for 13 in the 8th over.

After knocking off the runs with the loss of only one wicket, both teams sportingly decided that Kirkham could bat out their 20 overs. The batting order was largely reversed and it was decided batsmen would retire if they reached 20. A number of boys who don't normally get much of a bat got opportunities and Jack Wilsden, Will de Klerk, Harry Marsh, Will Kelso and Taylor-Tomlinson all scored runs with the team scoring 131 in their allotted overs.

This was another impressive victory played in a great spirit and the team's seventh victory in eight matches this season. The boys now have one last game against Giggleswick to look forward to next week.
