Kirkham Grammar School are deeply saddened to pass on the news that Catherine Stacey, wife of former Headmaster Barrie, died peacefully in hospital late on Friday, after a long and brave battle with illness. It would be impossible to exaggerate Catherine's role in supporting KGS during Barrie's highly successful tenure as Headmaster (1991-2002), and she and Barrie have remained loyal and active supporters and promoters of the School and the OKA, even through her recent years of ill health. We shall pay fuller tribute to her in due course, but for now our thoughts, love and prayers are with Barrie and his family - two of his three grandchildren are current KGS pupils.
