The eagerly anticipated final of the LSA Classics Competition took place today and guests enjoyed an afternoon of high-quality presentations from the next generation of classicists. Sixth Form pupil, Thomas Hewitt was the first to speak on the competition’s topic, ‘Which three people from the ancient world would you invite to a dinner party'. After a considered deliberation and high praise for all candidates, the judge delivered her verdict and Thomas’ erudite presentation was awarded joint runner-up. Congratulations, Thomas!
