Congratulations to Kirkham Grammar Junior, Infant and Pre-School J3 and J4 Vocal Ensemble who have this morning won the AJIS Music Festival at Bury Grammar School. The vocal ensemble performed two pieces; Piece A - 'A Clare Benediction - Rutter' and Piece B - 'I am the wind - Marsh'. In his feedback, adjudicator, Matthew Hamilton said of Piece A that the pupils had a lovely gentle tone and cheerful energy with great control at quiet dynamics and strong healthy sound at forte. Of their second piece he commented that it had great drive and character which was engaging and well animated, as well as good crisp rhythms. Well done to you all and thank you to Mrs Atherton for her help and support in preparing the pupils for today.
