Lamda Speech and Drama Pupils have enjoyed a record year for exam successes. So far 76 senior school pupils have taken an examination in 2009; fifteen of which were the higher grade medal exams. Always prestigious indications of ability and achievement the Bronze, Silver and Gold Medals now have added benefit. Dependent upon the level of attainment, Distinction, Merit or Pass, the medals carry points recognised by the QCA which can be used towards the UCAS university entrance tariff. Many Lamda students achieve their Gold Medal in Upper Sixth Form which, with a Distinction grade for example, can afford points equivalent to between a C/D grade pass at A Level. A fitting reward for all the hard work and effort put into acquiring and developing skills during lower and middle school years.
