As one of the North's leading Independent Schools, it is with the full support of our Governing Body that Kirkham Grammar School continues its intensive development programme.
Few schools can match the tradition of Kirkham Grammar School which celebrated its 450th anniversary in 1999. The school however, has undertaken a major development programme since 1990 and the Governors are determined that the school maintains this commitment and combines the traditional values which the school upholds with the most modern facilities.
This year has been dominated by the ongoing building programme as we have completed the recent extensive developments in our classroom provision. We have seen the rapid building of twelve new teaching rooms, each equipped with inter-active whiteboard facilities. Such a transformation can only benefit our pupils as these new facilities liberate the teachers and enable a greater variety of learning opportunities.
October 2007 saw the completion of our new Astro Turf pitch being laid. This not only benefits our pupils but also the wider community. Our school looks forward to exciting times ahead.
The development programme cannot be financed by revenue and capital alone, and as our quest for funding continues, we must look to those who use, know and love our school for their continued generosity and support.
