These results meant Kirkham had won their group and progressed into the semi-final, against King’s Chester, which they unfortunately lost 1-0. The girls played King’s Macclesfield for 3rd/4th place and won 3-2 to finish 3rd overall which took them through to the North of England Hockey Finals in Leeds! On the same day, the annual match for the Kirkham/Buchan Challenge Shield took place at Preston Grasshoppers on their magnificent artificial pitch! Buchan, from the Isle of Man, were victorious in a fantastic match, 30 points to 20. Well done to all who played!

Well done to you all.
