KGS 1st XI won 4-1
The 1st XI had a great start to the season against a strong
Altrincham side. KGS worked hard going forward making some excellent runs and
opening up space for the forwards to collect the ball and attack. The first
goal came from Beth Dowbiggin with an excellent strike from top D. Altrincham
hit back hard and equalised shortly after. KGS stepped up and began to work
solidly together making excellent tackles in defence and distributing the ball
wide to create lots of open space. Another three goals were converted by Beth
Dowbiggin leaving the final score at 4-1. A great first performance showing
huge promise for the season ahead.

The Kirkham girls played with real grit and determination;
they remained composed during the heated challenges and showed a real desire
and a fantastic attitude throughout the game! A very positive start to the
